DELTA Machinery Unveils Improved 1 HP Dust Collectors at 2008 IBS
Making it Easier for Beginning and Intermediate Woodworkers to Have
Superior Filtration, Performance
ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 13, 2008) – DELTA Machinery today announced the addition of two new one horsepower dust collectors that deliver superior filtration of fine dust and convenient fill-and-toss, disposable bags. The new dust collectors, models 50-720 and 50-720CT, were introduced during the 2008 International Builders’ Show (IBS) from Feb. 13 to Feb. 16 at Booth W1501 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
Designed for improved filtration efficiency, the 50-720 is equipped with a one micron, spun-bound filter bag designed with a patented integral halo support. The dust collection bag allows for the filtration of extremely fine dust to promote a cleaner, healthier shop environment while reducing the detrimental effect of air-borne contaminants to project finishes. Similarly, the 50-720CT features a two micron pleated canister, which allows for better air flow efficiency due to an increased filter surface area, and an internal manual agitator for frequent and mess-free filter cleaning.
The dust collectors come with six disposable collection bags which are specially-designed for dust collectors – allowing the end-user to easily dispose of waste without having to transfer debris from the bag to another container. Replacement disposable bags will be readily available.
For added convenience, mobility and performance, the dust collectors also feature:
· A stable, sturdy steel base
· Four, large swivel casters for moving the tool between stations or storing out of the way
· Finned aluminum motor housing for cooler operation during long periods of use
· Curved steel impeller to produce a maximum air velocity of 650 cubic feet per minute.
· A one horsepower, 120 to 240 volt, single-phase induction motor
Created for intermediate and professional woodworkers wanting to upgrade from a shop vacuum, the 50-720 and 50-720CT will be available for purchase in March 2008 for $249 and $349, respectively.
